Market Hours High of Day and Low of Day Price indicator

May I know what indicator I can use to plot the HOD and LOD only during market hours?The current HOD and LOD indicator in NinjaTrader seems like it starts from 12 AM. I would like to only consider the HOD and LOD from 9:30 AM. Thanks!

Thank you for your post.

Are the HOD and LOD 3rd party indicators? You might need to reach out to it's developer for assistance.


There is a default indicator within the NinjaTrader: "Current day OHL", which shows the current day (session) open, high and low values.


You can also create a Trading Hours template with the desired time and apply it to your chart, as described below:

• Open a Trading Hours window, by going to Control Center -> Tools -> Trading Hours .
• In the Trading Hours window, under Templates, click 'add'.
• Then on the right side of the window, under Properties, change the name for your template.
• Change the time zone,, if needed.
• Under 'Sessions' click 'add'
• Set the session start and end time, put a checkmark on 'EOD' and click OK.
• Right click on the added line and select 'Add Monday through Friday'
• When done, click OK to save your template.

Then right click in the back ground of your chart and select 'Data Series'. In the Data Series window, in a field next to ' Trading Hours' select your template and click OK. Then right click on your chart and select 'Reload all historical data'.
