    open/modify NJ8 database

Where can I find my NJ8 database files? I need to remove some old accounts from a prop firm that are blown up / not used and need to remove them from my NJ database. Thanks!

    Hello rezamerik,

Thank you very much for your post.

You may find NinjaTrader's SQL CE database in your Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder.

To reset this database, please follow the steps below:
    • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
    • Select My Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db > "NinjaTrader.sqlite" file (may only say 'NinjaTrader' depending on your Windows File Explorer settings)
    • Right-click on NinjaTrader.sqlite and select "Rename"
    • Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.sqlite"
    • Restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
I have also included a brief walk-through video that demonstrates this process:

Please note, this resets the following information to default values:
    • Trading Hours templates
    • Instrument Lists
    • Custom Instruments
    • Historical trade execution data for locally-simulated accounts (e.g. Sim101)
    • Saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!

It is no longer an SQL CE database, it's now an SQLite database.

Thanks so much for your replies NinjaTrader_Manfred and bltdavid ! Is there away to get rid of the blown-up accounts without losing my workspace/chart/indicator templates, or save the workspace/chart templates somehow?

Manfred already answered your question -- you'll have a brand new
pristine database, free of all previous accounts.

You should read it again, slowly and carefully, at least twice.

As noted in Manfred's bullet list, the 5 items that are affected by his
suggestion do not include workspace/chart/indicator templates.

Everything to do with workspaces is stored in the workspaces folder.

Everything to do with chart templates and indicator templates is stored
          in the templates folder.

Those folders are stored separate from the db folder.

Carefully follow the steps Manfred outlined and you'll be fine.
