"Client App is Prohibited"

Hello,

I'm new to NT and just downloaded the desktop app. When trying to log in I am receiving the following error: Client App is Prohibited".

Has anyone else dealt with this? How can it be resolved?

I ultimately want to use trade copier on multiple Tradovate accounts, but can't get past this first step.

Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

This error most commonly occurs if you are using the credentials of an evaluation provider that is not compatible with the NinjaTrader Dashboard and cannot be accessed therein.

To connect to this account, please first create a new NinjaTrader Dashboard account below:

Please select the "Simulation" option when creating the account before providing the necessary information.

Once created, please follow the steps below to migrate the license key you've received:

Once this has been migrated, please install and launch NinjaTrader 8.1.1.7. A link to download this may be found in your Dashboard.

Please use the NinjaTrader Dashboard credentials you have just created to log into this account and follow the steps below to enable the Multi-Provider Mode:

Once this has been enabled, you would then be able to create a new "Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage" or "NinjaTrader" connection with the provided credentials. Further information in this regard may also be found in your provider's instructions.
