8.0.28.0​​ Throws license problem, but 8.1.1.7

    8.0.28.0​​ Throws license problem, but 8.1.1.7

    Run NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0​​,will prompt this error. However I can ping license.ninjatrader.com and telnet license.ninjatrader.com 443 normally. The network is no problem.

    Then I upgrade to 8.1.1.7,no more show this error. So it also improve that network is no problem.
    Is it NinjaTrader want to push us to upgrade to 8.1.1.x?

    Hello zzeric,

    NinjaTrader 8.1 does not use license keys anymore (this has been replaced by account plans), so it does not connect to the license server like NinjaTrader 8.0.

    The license server is up and running. We don't cause this error. If you continue to experience this error in NinjaTrader 8.0, please troubleshoot the error with the steps below. Test for the issue after each step.
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • Restart your modem and (if applicable) router
    • Restart your PC/server
    • Clear your DNS [*=1]Open the Command Prompt: https://www.howtogeek.com/235101/10-...in-windows-10/ [*=1]In the command prompt, run this command: ipconfig /flushdns
    • If you are not already and the option is available to you, connect to the internet using an ethernet cable. Wireless connections are significantly more unreliable.
    • Ensure exceptions have been added into any firewall/antivirus/backup programs for the Documents > "NinjaTrader 8" folder.
    • Ensure that your computer is not turning off your Network Adapter to conserve power: [*=1]Right-click on your Start button [*=1]Select 'Device Manager' [*=1]Expand 'Network Adapters' [*=1]Right-click on your Network Adapter and select Properties > Power Management [*=1]Uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' option [*=1]Click 'OK' to save the changes [*=1]Do this for all Network Adapters

      I checked the trace log, there are no error infomation about connect to license server, and the log showed it was verified

        Actually this messagebox was display before the singleton ninjatrader process detecting , I think the license check should be after the singleton ninjatrader process detecting, so I don't understand why would cause this problem.

          Can you please send me your log and trace files from within NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0.
          • Go to Control Center-->Help-->Email Support
          • Set the To field to Platform Technical Support
          • Enter "Att Jason, 03988201" in the "Subject" field
          • Enter any text under 'Please enter any information that you feel will help us resolve your inquiry'.
          • Make sure "Log and trace files" is enabled
          • Click Send

              Can you please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files in an email. You can send the email to "platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com". Please put 'Att Jason, 03988201' in the subject field of your email.
              • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
              • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
              • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments
              • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
