Does an Unrealized amount add to, or replace, Realized amount?

When an unrealized amount becomes realized, does it add to, or replace, the current realized amount?

Say I have a trade that gained $500, and is realized. A bit later, I start another trade. It is active, and I have $200 unrealized. When that $200 becomes realized, does it add to the current realized amount ($500 + $200) showing $700? Or, would that $200 replace the $500, showing $200 as the realized amount?

Relized PnL would be the total of all trades, in this example $700.
