    Power failure and now NT8 desktop will not open

    I had a power failure this morning in my house and it shut my system down. When everything came back up, I was unable to load NT8 desktop. Support tried to help but could not find a solution. They told me to reach out to a Windows 10 tech which I did and they could find nothing wrong either. This is the only app that will not open. I have tried the repair option and uninstalling then re-installing but none of that has worked.

    Just want to see if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a solution or, am I stuck to never use the desktop app again?

    This sounds very unusual.

    So, you mean, if you do these steps,

    1. Uninstall NinjaTrader using control panel.
    2. Remove/Rename 'NinjaTrader 8' folder from your Documents directory.
    3. Download latest supported version, such as 8.0.28.0.
    4. Install NinjaTrader, choosing defaults for everything.

    You still cannot get NinjaTrader to start?

    Look at the 'log' and 'trace' folders under 'NinjaTrader 8' folder,
    use notepad to open the most recently dated log and trace files,
    do you see any error messages at the bottom of those files?

    You could also try deleting all NinjaTrader registry keys from
    the Windows registry, try looking here,

      Should be looking at the windows event viewer logs to see why the program keeps crashing. Probably won't find muhc in the logs/trace files.

        Thank you for the responses. What I did not know and what support failed to mention was to delete the ninjatrader 8 folder then re-intstall. I made a back up folder before I did that and I was able to successfully re-install and get it working again.
