How can I set my proper account to open as default rather than the Sim101 account opening as default. Second time this week I've placed my first trade and it's been on the sim account!

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Trading. Make sure 'Start in global simulation mode' is disabled.
Go to Control Center-->Tools and ensure 'Global Simulation Mode' is disabled.
Select your live account in the Account field of the desired order entry windows (SuperDOM, ChartTrader, etc).
Save the workspace and exit NinjaTrader.
Start NinjaTrader and check if your live account is selected in the order entry windows once connected to your live account.
