No sound from NT

    No sound from NT

    I have lost all sound from NT. NT don't show in my Volume mixer, I have tried to repair NT, Removed all sounds manually and saved and then added them back manually, I have uninstalled NT and all NT folders, rebooted and then reinstalled. Non of this has worked. I am running windows 10 and it is up to date. What am I missing to get this fixed?

    Hello Monkey Trader,

    Do you hear sounds on your PC at all? For example, if you test a Youtube video, do you hear sound?

    If not, I suggest to troubleshoot the sound issue with the link below.


    If so, do you see NinjaTrader in the Windows Volume Mixer if you close all other programs on your computer and then start NinjaTrader?

    Are you able to play the sound files if you manually open them in the C:\-->Program Files-->NinjaTrader 8-->sounds folder?

      Hi Jason,
      Thank you for the quick response.

      I do have sound on the computer through all other programs.

      NT is not showing in the Windows Volume Mixer.

      I can play each of the files from the sound folder.

        Can you please send me your log and trace files from within NinjaTrader, so I can investigate the issue.
        • Go to Control Center-->Help-->Email Support
        • Set the To field to Platform Technical Support
        • Enter "Att Jason, 03979592" in the "Subject" field
        • Enter any text under 'Please enter any information that you feel will help us resolve your inquiry'.
        • Make sure "Log and trace files" is enabled
        • Click Send

          Can you tell me what files you need please. I am getting an error message when I am trying to send the email. I use Gmail and it doesn't seem to attach the files.

            Can you please tell me what the error message says.

            You could also manually attach log and trace files as per the instructions below.
            • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
            • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
            • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments.
            • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
            Please send the email to "platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com" and put 'Att Jason, 03979592' in the subject field of your email.

              Okay, I just sent them.

              The email error is "There was an error sending a mail message! An error accured while attempting to establish an SSL or TSL connection.
