License keys and Ninja Login - Lifetime account and indicators -Apex

I am trying to get things clear in one place to figure out how to set things correctly with NT logins but also with Apex (Rithmic)

I start with what I do understand and please correct me where wrong:
    - License keys no longer exist and any type of feature enabling, including 3rd party purchased indicators, are stored on Ninja servers under the login. (This is probably the central point.)
    - I am guessing that because of the above one imports the license key once logged in, on the Ninjatrader website so it can learn what to enable. 3rd part provider will get the information there I guess. I wander how I deal with all providers I bought the licenses from, it seems like a nightmare to have to contact all of them. How do I handle this ?

Last and not least how do I deal with Apex?
I currently have a lifetime license and funded account with Ninjtrader.com

    - For Apex I imagine will have to register on account.Ninjatrader.com/register a different email and create a different user id. Is that true?
    - Then if true will I need a multi-broker license to trade on both Apex account and my NT account?

After that I guess I have to import two license keys in it:
    - one of Apex to connect the login to Apex account and rithmic enabling.
    - one of the lifetime to be able to use all purchased indicators.

Can you please correct any statement that is incorrect and clarify? I am having issues the logic must be clear into my mind to be able to operate.
I hope this is useful for others too.
    Best
    G

    Hello giogio1,

Thank you very much for your post.

At the current time, it is not yet possible to connect third-party enablements, such as scripts and indicators, to the account directly. While this is a feature we are working on, third-party providers still use the Machine ID at this time.

This ID is based on your PC's hard- and software and works akin to a fingerprint.

What is saved as part of the account would be any kind of account enablement. This includes e.g. the Order Flow indicators, and which providers/brokerages are enabled.

This also means that you should experience no issues using the same NinjaTrader Dashboard account to connect to any and all providers. Using the same account you could e.g. connect to your NinjaTrader and your Apex account at the same time.

To do this, please ensure you migrated your live license key to your account following the steps below (this also occurs automatically if you update an older NinjaTrader version):

How Can I Migrate My License Key Into the Latest Version of NinjaTrader Desktop?

If you encounter any issues also migrating the Apex license key (this merges the enablements of your existing key with those of the Apex key, enabling both), please send us a quick email to support (at) ninjatrader (dot) com, listing the account name that you experience issues with. We can then add the enablement from our end.

Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!

Thank you Manfred for your reply that is also very clear.

FYI on a seprate note I am adding a clarification regarding Apex demo accounts and Ninjatrader Web trading. Apex wrote me: "Your NinjaTrader web access can not be used for your Apex accounts, only their LIVE account. That's a limitation of the ninjatrader system."

        Hello,

I'm having a similar situation. I purchased a lifetime license with Ninjatrader for $1499. Previously, I could change out the License key through the Help menu. However, I recently uninstalled/reinstalled the NinjaTrader software to the latest version. They've seemingly removed the option to swap out the license key there. Now it can only be done through the website. Problem is, they don't give you an option to modify the key if you already have a lifetime license. I imagine that I likely wouldn't need to use the APEX license as it is not as powerful as the paid NinjaTrader one. Is my logic here correct? I am able to connect to data, so why would I want to use the NinjaTrader license?

        Thanks,
        Jackson

          Hello Everyone,

          Thank you for the messages.

          To clarify a little further.

The NinjaTrader Username has essentially taken the place of License Keys moving forward.
          • Importing a license key or purchasing an add-on from the dashboard will add an "Entitlement" under your username. It will add in addition to the others, not replace.
          • This is why you have to log into the platform every time now, this lets the platform know who is signing in and what features they have been entitled to
          • Once you sign in, you can go to the Control Center > Help > About to see what the username is Entitled for

When it comes to Evaluation accounts. They may each provide a different license key, but they all fundamentally give you the same "Evaluation (Rithmic)" entitlement.
          • So, once a user has imported the Evaluation License key from one Evaluation Broker, they don't ever have to import another Evaluation license key

If a user has already imported a Lifetime License Key to their NinjaTrader Username, with the update to 8.1.2.0, it will allow a user to access an Evaluation account as well.
          • So, if someone has the Multi-Broker add-on, they don't have to worry about an Evaluation License key anymore.

With this new system, a user could use their NinjaTrader Username to open as many NinjaTrader platforms as computers they own.
          • The limitation would be on the connection itself and how many concurrent connections it allows.
            • For example, if you had 10 computers. You could use the NinjaTrader Username to sign into NinjaTrader on all 10 of the computers and open the platform
              • A "NinjaTrader" connection is limited to 2 concurrent connections.
                • So, of the 10 computers, you could connect to the same NinjaTrader Account within two of them at the same time
              • A "Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage" connection is limited to one active connection per computer.
                • So, if you had two different Rithmic-based accounts. You would only be able to connect to one per computer.
                • You would have to check with the Evaluation Broker if you can increase the number of concurrent connections per Rithmic-Username
              • A "NinjaTrader Continuum" connection is limited to one connection per computer and only one concurrent connection to that username.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
