    I cannot load data except ES 09-23

    Hi,

    I have a problem when I want to open a chart in timeframe less than the daily (like 1 minute chart's), the chart stays white (empty). All instruments seem to load in daily's timeframe but not in minute timframe except the instrument "ES 09-23".

    I looked at several forums on similar subjects but I couldn't solve my problem.

    I am using NinjaTrader 8 version 8.1.1.7 64-bit.
    I am well connected to my "My rithmic for NinjaTrader brokerage" account and I can see my "Apex" account in green in the control panel. I tried to reset the instruments, and restart NT8 several times but nothing worked.


    For information before I used the free NinjaTrader account after registration, it expired and now I pay a subscription at Apex.​

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    From what you are describing, it sounds like you are perhaps connected to the Kinetick End of Day connection as well. When using the End of Day connection as the primary data source, it wouldn't be possible to see data on timeframes lower than a Daily chart. Can you please open the Connections menu on the Control Center and share a screenshot so that I can determine if this is the case?
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

        Thank you for your response and for that screenshot.

        It would appear that you are correct. Unless you are not subscribed to data from Rithmic, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be working. Can you share with me a screenshot example of the charts that you are experiencing an issue with as well?

          Yes of course, you can find a screenshot of the instrument NQ 06-23 in Daily timeframe (it works), and on 5 minutes timeframe (don't works).
          As a reminder, only the ES 09-23 instrument also works in minutes timeframe.
          I attached a screenshot from Rithmic Trader Pro where you can see my Apex account active.

          If you think this problem seems to come from the Apex account and not from NT8, I'll contact them.

            Hello Maguen,

            Thank you for your response.

            The 06-23 contact is blank because it's expired. You need to use the current expiry for NQ and any other contracts that you may be trying to access. For NQ, this would be 09-23.

            The NinjaTrader Desktop platform allows batch rollover of the contract expiry of all instruments across all instrument lists and windows on all open workspaces. To perform this batch rollover please see the steps below:
            1. Select the Tools menu within the Control Center followed by the Database Management menu item.
            2. The grid for the Rollover Futures Instruments section will show each instrument that is eligible to be rolled over. A contract is eligible to be rolled when today's date is greater than or equal to the rollover date defined for the instrument’s next contract month.
            3. When selecting "Rollover" any instrument with a checkmark in the Update column will be updated to the contract month in the New Expiry column.
            Note: Rolling over futures instruments will update the expiry of the instruments across all instrument lists and windows using the instruments on all open workspaces. These changes on workspaces will need to be saved should you wish to preserve them. If there are areas you still wish to use the old expiry with please be sure to switch them back to the old expiry or do not rollover at this time.
