Change from Exchange to Numeric Instrument Symbology

I need to change my Ninjatrader 8 system settings.

Currently they are displaying the Exchange symbols - ie.. NQU3, ESU3, GCU3 etc...

I want to change them to numeric NQ 09-23 or month abbreviation NQSEP23

I see a way to edit that inside my Ninjatrader account preferences at account.ninjatrader.com - but that does not change the settings on my local Ninjatrader 8 database and I do not see a setting or option inside the Ninjatrader8 desktop version to change these settings.

Yes, if you are using NinjaTrader desktop 8.1 or higher then you may change the contract symbology on your NinjaTrader platforms. You may view the link provided below with steps on how to change this option via the NinjaTrader Client Dashboard.

Thank you. I have already done this, but it is not updating my NT8 desktop settings.

I have installed v 8.1.1.7 64-bit

And I have logged into to account.ninjatrader.com and have selected "Numeric 07-23" for my symbology display style preferences.

But my desktop NT8 shows Exchange symbology ie NQU3. I have restarted NT8 but the issue persists and is not updating.

I restarted NT8 desktop again and it did work this time. thank you
