    NT 8.1.1.7 .net 4.8 Trade Performance Works Some Days Fails Others

    Hi NT Folks,

    I think Trade Performance is partially working. I am in Australia using using dd/mm/yyyy time format and NT 8.1.1.7 with .net 4.8 with the rest of NT is fully working working. Trade performance for 01/06/2023 - 11/06/2023 works. Same for 01/07/2023 - 11/07/2023. But 01/06/2023 - 12/06/2023 or 01/07/2023 - 12/07/2023 fails and returns no info.

    I am not keying in the dates manually and having a case of bad typing I am just selecting the date ranges from the NT Trade Performance date pulldowns

    Looks like anything past the 11th day of the month fails. I tried 13th through to the 20th and each failed.

    Dates greater than 11th day of the month are failing because the date strings are not being recognized as dates with the error:

    023-07-16 13:25:32:486 Gui.TraderPerformance.TraderPerformanceReportViewM odel.GetExecutions.Exception: System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
    at System.DateTimeParse.Parse(String s, DateTimeFormatInfo dtfi, DateTimeStyles styles)
    at System.Convert.ToDateTime(String value)
    at NinjaTrader.Tradovate.Adapter.<QueryPastExecutions Async>d__117.MoveNext()
    --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown ---
    at System.Runtime.ExceptionServices.ExceptionDispatch Info.Throw()
    at NinjaTrader.Gui.TradePerformance.TradePerformanceR eportViewModel.<GetExecutions>d__58.MoveNext()

    Pics of working Trade Performance, failing Trade Performance, Trace Startup less personal stuff and Trace of Errors attached

    Happy Trading

      Hello brenton,

      I have included your case in the existing bug report. Thank you for reporting.

      For now, I suggest to use account statements in the Client Dashboard to check trade history for the affected dates.

        Thanks for the quick response. The original Trade Performance fault can be found at:

          I remember that when NT went to the new portal it also had issues with the trade performance, and the data was not there but you were able to use it after a certain time.
          Something for me, as a long time database developer, seems just a bit off, Data is data, records are records, so when can we use the 'new trade performance' that was announced with the update (it is on a server somewhere now and not locally stored) , is there a time limit? Is it only after installing the latest update?

          I am guessing people would love to hear about when and how from the 'trade performance developer(s)'

          Thanks -- Ronald

          oh and ps: The Client Dashboard is grayed out, I am assuming this is waiting for a new release as well?

            Hello Ninja Folk, tullips,
            If I am understanding your post the problem highlighted in this thread doesn't relate. The issue my post highlights, as far as I am aware, do not exist on the NinjaTrader web site only on the NT Desktop. The issue occurs whether I am running NT web site and or Desktop separately or together at the same time

            The NT web site works but the NT Desktop doesn't

            I don't think its the DB issue. My guess is the data itself is fine. If it wasn't there would be bigger issues than faulty Trade Performance analysis

            The comment, The data might become available after a certain time doesn't seem to be the case at least with my problem. I can do TP successfully (In AU date format dd/mm/yyyy format) from 01/mm/yyyy to 11/mm/yyyy successfully in a month back to Jan 2023. If I do 01/mm/yyyy to >11/mm/yyyy all months fail. If the range crosses months 01/nn/yyyy to 11//mm/yyyy all ranges fail

            This might only be the difference between folks creating a trading Tool and the folks creating a trading Solution. In nerdy IT (FFOBB) terms Tools are way way way different from Solutions. Its just a question of what is needed to fill the users needs

            The other thing that might be more interesting is the mention of Tradovate.Adapter. in the error message that might point to integration issues tied around internationalisation, just one thought from a fat old bald bloke that might be as useful as rocking horse manure

            Best Wishes To All

            Happy Trading

                Hello guys.

                I think I was not clear enough with my explanations/questions/remarks. The Dashboard and the Performance report on the WEBSITE is working, we just have to watch out with the time settings on it as this is not by default set, but when I was reading the release notes from the last DESKTOP version of NT, it was saying that the Performance Report on the DESKTOP was fixed, and there is a grayed-out dashboard on the DESKTOP. (See screenshot)

                  Thank you for clarifying.

                  The release notes refer to the Trade Performance window which you can find in NinjaTrader Desktop at Control Center-->New.

                  Client Dashboard at Control Center-->Tools allows you to log into the Client Dashboard. If it is greyed out, it typically indicates 'Multi-provider' is enabled (Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->General) and you are not connected to your 'Live' connection (or 'My NinjaTrader' connection).
