NT8 Google Login hangs BLOCKING NT8 ACCESS

Hello Support,

I just tried to login into NT8 using Google and it hangs and prevents me from using NT8.

I've made a 22sec video of the login failure for you to watch here:

Its been working all day and now its failing.

Thank you very much for your post.

Looking at the video, it seems the platform itself might not be able to access our server. Is it possible a firewall or another security suite blocks this access?

If you are using a VPN, I would also suggest (temporarily) disabling this to see if this resolves the issue.

Should this still fail, please follow the steps below to send us your log & trace files, and we can best assist you further. You can do this by following the steps below:

• Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
• Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to support (at) ninjatrader (dot) com
• Please include an "Attn Manfred" note in the message
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders

Same problem here. Just started today. I thought it had something to do with the required change of TWS to 10.23.2a. The google login hanging was occurring with both the 10.23.2a and the previous "recommended" tws version.

So weird, just after submitting my previous post I tried to login to NT8 via google and now it works fine

Thank you very much for your post.

Looking at the log & trace files submitted by rayko, we were not able to find anything that would explain the connection issues.

However, as we have seen several clients report short-lived issues with Google's Social Login today, I suspect that their service might have been temporarily down.

If you encounter any issues with the Social Login in the future, one option would be to register a dedicated username for this account. You can then use this instead of the Social Login to connect:

My Google Sign On - NT8 is now working too.
