    Reset or add an additional SIM account

    How i can reset or add an additional SIM account in version 8.1.1.7 64-bit if i right-click in the account tab then its very different than in the instructions somehow.

    Hello mirex,

    Right-click the Sim account -> select Edit Account -> click reset.


    Note, only the local Sim accounts can be reset.

      I'm using version 8.1.1.7 64-bit (life-time license) I have same problem ...with new version I cannot add, edit or reset sim account. With right click have no options.

      1. In the platform how to add,edit, reset and set SIM account?
      2. In the platform how to edit, reset and set PLAYBACK account?
      3. Where PLAYBACK account get the cash amount? I have sim with 50000 but playback has 100000.
      3.​ In account (ninjatrader.com) have no option to ADD new sim account.
      4. I'm trying to change SIM ACCOUNT BALANCE but I get error due max. cash amount. I try 10000, 10.000 and 10,000. (see img below).

      Please add new manual about new version of NT8 ... All is mixed and confused, a lot of new futures are not explained and last information are not valid!

        Hello ClauTrade,

        May I confirm you are referring to the Sim101 account?


        Or are you referring to a live demo account?

        May I confirm you have Multi-provider mode enabled?


        The Playback account will use the settings for the Sim101 account. Adjust the settings for the Sim101 first, and then on each connection to Playback, the Playback account will use those settings.
        To reset the Playback account, disconnect from the Playback connection, then re-connect.

          yes its the Multiprovider mode which enables it. I could then edit the account but they somehow dont show the commision of the lifetime version. when i create a new commision template by copying the lifetime version commisions the commision will be not shown in the strategy-perfomance-report.

            Is this for backtest or real-time orders?

            In real-time have you applied the 'NinjaTrader Brokerage Lifetime' commission template to the Sim account the strategy is running on before the strategy is enabled?
            (Commissions will not apply to past real-time orders, and will only apply to orders submitted while the template is enabled on the account)

            In backtest have you applied the commission template to the Sim101 account specifically? Is Include commissions checked?

              yes for backtest on SIm acc

              yes i tried countless times and also created new sim accounts and assigned the lifetimeversion comissions or copies of it.
              everething like before and it worked but its gone.

              i run the backtest on the simaccounts , everywhere is in account > edit > commisions lifetime or copy of that. where i can check include commisions please. i cant see that. hope that will be solution




              what i could observe now abit later that the commissions shown for MYM 09-23 but not for 10YR 08-23.. is that normal? so it was working but not for that instrument. But in the fee overview there is a few for 10YR

                Hello mirex,

                Backtests in the Strategy Analyzer only use the settings from the Sim101 account. If you add additional Sim accounts, those additional sim accounts cannot be used for backtesting.

                May I confirm that you have applied the commission template to the Sim101 account specifically?

                To enable commissions in the Strategy Analyzer check the box labelled 'Include commission' in the Setup section.

                The 10YR future does not have commissions defined in the 'NinjaTrader Brokerage Lifetime' commission template.
                You can view all instruments that have commissions in a template by clicking Tools -> Commissions -> and selecting the template.
