External Data Feed with NT8.1

I have been using NT8.0 and lower with external data feed from Tradestation. I gather this is not available in NT8.1. Is that correct?

Support for TradeStation is very limited in NinjaTrader 8. It is only possible to send trade signals from TradeStation into NinjaTrader 8 using the E-Mail AT Interface. It is not possible to send trade signals from NinjaTrader 8 to TradeStation or, send or receive data.

This means you would not be able to connect to your TradeStation account or receive data from TradeStation in the traditional sense. You would only be able to send trade signals from your strategies in TradeStation into NinjaTrader using the Email Interface.

When you say NinjaTrader 8, I assume you mean 8.1. I am using 8.0.27 and it does all the thing with Tradestation that I have always done.
My question was specifically about NinjaTrader 8.1.1.7.

You said, "You would only be able to send trade signals from your strategies in TradeStation into NinjaTrader using the Email Interface." I believe this is incorrect, as there is still the option in 8.1.1.7 to use the NinjaTrader.Client.dll and send orders from Easylanguage to NinjaTrader using OIF.

Thanks for your note.

This would not be possible to do in NinjaTrader 8.1. The NinjaTrader 8 API comes in a managed dll (NinjaTrader.Client.dll) and use to come in an unmanaged dll form (NtDirect.dll) and this can be used to send data to or receive data from NinjaTrader. The unmanaged version would be needed for TradeStation, however, the NtDirect.dll is no longer supported or able to be used with NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0 or NinjaTrader 8.1.1.7.

Only the managed dll (NinjaTrader.Client.dll) is supported for NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0 and 8.1.1.7.
