Rolling back to version prior to 8.0.28

Hello Atomic,
Thank you very much for your post.
Please note: We always advise against downgrading. Any version prior to 8.0.28.0 will also not be able to access CQG's servers.
If you would like to go ahead and install this version, I would suggest a full reset of the database. Please follow the steps below to do this:- Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
- Select My Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db > "NinjaTrader.sqlite" file (may only say 'NinjaTrader' depending on your Windows File Explorer settings)
- Right-click on NinjaTrader.sqlite and select "Rename"
- Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.sqlite"
- Restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
- Trading Hours templates
- Instrument Lists
- Custom Instruments
- Historical trade execution data for locally-simulated accounts (e.g. Sim101)
- Saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results

2. Reinstall version 8.0.28.0
all your data, chart markups, and trade history will be fine.
Use Windows to uninstall, just like you'd do for any other,
Control Panel > Program and Features
Download version 8.0.28.0 from NinjaTrader.com,
install as you'd do for any other.

The magic of everything staying the same happens
because 'C:\Users\<you>\Documents\NinjaTrader 8'
contains all your user data, and the uninstall process
never deletes existing user data, and the install process
never overwrites existing user data.
So, you should be fine.
And, you have a full backup, so you should be fine.
NT Support can confirm.

Thank you. I was able to go back to 8.0.28.0
The reason was that I upgraded and saw a COMPLETELY different interface. I had to log into my web-based account and NEVER saw my desktop version. It was like I had to trade from the web. Then I searched google for reviews on the upgrade and... well lets just that freaked me out. I had done a TON of markups etc... over the break and thought I had lost it all. Fortunately I did not.
