Why does running the NT platform show up on my ethernet load

    Why does running the NT platform show up on my ethernet load

    When I have the NT platorm open, I see the spikes in my ethernet usage, and when I close the NT platform, the spikes go away.
    What causes this. In the picture. I shut the NT platform down about half way across the chart. This is on a computer running
    Tradestation, but I am not sending data to the NT platfrom from TS, and my NT platform has no other data feed. There is probably
    some traffic due the the NtDirect.dll. I don't normally run NT on this computer, but I just want to check as the spikes were showing up
    on another computer where I do.

      I use an almost 0 ms lag VPS and version 8.1 still sometimes gets disconnected momentarily.

          It appears you have an older version installed which had this behavior reported. Please upgrade to version 8.0.28.0 and let me know if you continue to see the same behavior going forward. Below is a link to our Support Center that includes instructions and a direct download link for updating to the newest required version of NinjaTrader 8.0.

              I can confirm that the reported behavior does not occur with 8.0.28.0.

                Most likely it's the watch button in the right corner. There was a thread about it. Basically it consumed enormous amount of data just checking if there any live events or whatever. They fixed it in next versions.
