Order qty and Hot Keys

Hi Guys,

How to put order qty with a default value without using ATM Strategy? I put a value saved in the workspace and it always returns to 1




How can I send buy and sell orders from the chart without using the right mouse button? I configured Hot keys and the orders are not executed.

Thank you for your inquiry and for using NinjaTrader.

1. It is not possible to set a default order quantity unless you are using an ATM Strategy. With that said, on most of the order entry windows, the custom quantity value that you enter is retained when it's saved as part of the workspace and would remain in place after you close and reopen the workspace. Unfortunately, this behavior is different on Chart Trader. I've reported this behavior to our Developers and have added your case number of additional impact to the request.

2. Did you enable the order entry hot keys from Tools > Options > Trading and select 'Use order entry hot keys'? If not, this must be selected before the hot keys that you've created will work for order entry.
