Thank you NinjaTrader_ChelseaB I would also liek to use this moment to request the feature that the strategy optimizer have an option to "Run To Complete" instead of running as fast as possible.
Ive run into multiple instances with strategy when testing more than 3 years where the strategy will crash, crashing is crashing, but the features MT5 has that i would love to see in ninja are.
- SAVED STRATEGY TESTS AND OPTIMIZATION RESULTS THAT CAN BE ACCESSED LATER
- IF THE OPTIMIZER / ANALYZER CRASHES, THE DATA UP TO THAT POINT IS SAVED AND ^
- ALTERNATE MONTE CARLO TESTS AND A NEW WINDOW TO LOOK SOLEY AT OPTIMIZATION RUNS FROM THE PAST
- OPTIMIZER OPTION TO RUN FOR COMPLETENESS INSTEAD OF SPEED, AIMING TO COMPLETE NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES

As this new post was not related to the previous thread, I have moved this to a new thread.

With the strategy tests, this is what the Strategy Analyzer Logs are for. Once a test is run, you can click on the log and reload the test.

With optimizations, if the platform outright crashes with a windows error (and not stalls due to memory) the test would have to be repeated.

What are you wanting with alternate monte carlo tests? Just any alternate way of using a monte carlo?

Optimizations will run to complete. However, if the computer runs out of memory the hard disk starts being used as memory with a swap file (known as page filling). Everything on the computer will crawl to a slow at that point but eventually given enough time the test will complete.
Taking advantage of IsInstantiatedOnEachOptimizationIteration being set to false and IncludeTradeHistory being false can drastically improve the performance of optimizations.
