Updated from 8.0.23 to 8.0.28 All my indicators/templates missing

    Updated from 8.0.23 to 8.0.28 All my indicators/templates missing

    I just updated from 8.0.23 to 8.0.28 and it initially appeared everything went well. The only thing i noted was the default install pointed to Programs/Ninja trader 8/ but when i checked my system there was no current installation there, so I check Programs (x86) and the current install was located there, so i changed/pointed the installation to Programs (x86)/Ninja trader 8/.

    The "migration" was successful, I opened the app using the new desktop icon and my 3 charts and indicators all looked the same. However data seemed to be running a little slow so I closed Ninjatrader 8, rebooted my laptop and restarted NinjaTrader 8 and my 3 charts were there but indicators were all missing, templates not loaded, chart style incorrect etc etc. I right clicked the chart to load my template and the template names are there but when i load them nothing changes. When I try and add any of my custom indicators, they do NOT appear in the indicator list. I'm assuming in the past I or Microsoft may have relocated My Documents Folder to One Drive, because In One Drive/Documents/NinjaTrader 8 I can see all my indicators including custom indicators, templates and workspaces etc. etc.

    So I'm assuming when i installed 8.0.28 it has installed fresh default indicators etc. somewhere else and is now pulling from there? But i simply cannot locate a new folder or find which folder that NT8 is now currently loading the Indicators, and templates from? OR is it pulling from the correct indicator folder etc. but no longer recognizing custom indicators and templates? I just don't know.

    This is a complete mess. I spent years putting together a set of charts and now they are gone. Can anyone assist please?

    By default, you would not have lost any custom templates, indicators, or workspaces after the upgrade, however, I suspect that moving the installation from its new Program Files location back to the old Program Files (x86) locating is the culprit. So long as you do not change the Documents/NinjaTrader 8 folder, your custom information will not be lost permanently.

    As a first test, please try uninstalling the new version of NinjaTrader and reinstalling it to its default location, and then reopen the platform to see if your custom information returns. Please let us know the results of this test. We look forward to your response.
