    Hello MoreYummy,

    Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

Unfortunately, only one Rithmic connection can be made on the platform at a time. Unless these accounts can be combined under a single login, it will not be possible to connect to them simultaneously. Since they are from different funding companies, it is almost definitely impossible to connect to both of them on your platform at the same time.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Isn't there a hot demand for allowing to connect to more than 1 rithmic account? Trading Platforms like Quantower allow so that users can trade multiple platform. Can we request for Ninjatrader to allow multiple rithmic connection, get with the modern times and compete with the competition who are adapting and evolving...

This is totally incorrect. Quantower allows multiple Rithmic accounts at the same time. I have it setup.

Does Quantower allow custom automated trading strategy? I am ready to switch if they have that.

            Welcome to the forums!

            Well, no.

It is completely and entirely correct ... for NinjaTrader.

            Quantower is not NinjaTrader.

Quantower code is not NinjaTrader code.

            Good for you!

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just saying that's excellent news.

It means that NinjaTrader's one Rithmic connection limitation
is not being imposed or mandated by Rithmic.

The limitation must now be due decisions made by NinjaTrader
upper management, since presumably, if made a high enough
priority, the NT eng dept could surely reproduce the efforts of
            the software team at Quantower.

Damn it! Those rat bastard bean counters strike again!

Thank God for the competition, right?

            -=o=-

Of course, we don't know the 20 years of NT vs Rithmic eng
history. I mean, it's possible that when NT first wrote their
Rithmic adapter, perhaps the Rithmic API truly only supported
a single connection. It might be that now, the Rithmic API has
advanced considerably, and now NT's 'ancient' adapter needs
a huge overhaul to use the new Rithmic API features (which
presumably are allowing multiple connections, as proven by
the efforts of Qauntower's software team) so that NT can
            keep up with the competition.

But, in the final analysis, in this day and age, circa 2024,
limiting Rithmic connections to a single connection seems
like upper management is severely non-customer focused.

At least, severely non-focused on their prop-firm customers.

If I were in upper mgmt, I'd want to know how many of
my desktop customers are using Rithmic based prop firms,
and how much percentage revenue they generate. At some
high enough point, these numbers do say prop firm customers
            should get a priority.

Of course, I'm an engineer, and the ego hit of my product
becoming less useful to my evolving customer base means
I'd tell my eng team to make the updates anyways.

Then again, if 80% of revenue was from the newer brokerage
side of the business, maybe the focus of the software product
is correctly centered on driving that brokerage side revenue.

Thus, something like a Rithmic adapter update doesn't qualify,
            and thus Rithmic-based prop-firm customers remain 2nd-class
citizens when using NinjaTrader, esp when compared to the
first class Rithmic support of Quantower.

            Quite the crapper, isn't it?

According to Ninja Trader Developers, they are working on request number SFT-4923 - Ability to have more than one Rithmic connection to multiple rithimic prop firms.

                Huh?

That post indicates the development team is not working on it.

[I mean, they may or may not be, but we won't know that until
it's done and then announced in the release notes.]

That post says they are 'tracking interest', which means they're
just counting votes from random forum users who know enough
to vote +1 for this feature.

                -=o=-

As far as I know ...
NinjaTrader has never taken any initiative to provide their
customers a dedicated web page devoted to voting on
                these kinds of feature requests.

Their current imbecile voting scheme seems juvenile and is
surely an extremely unreliable indicator of true customer
                sentiments.

Unfortunately, NinjaTrader professionalism does not exist
                in this area.

Their current voting system is a joke.
