    Connection to Order Routing System is "unavailable" (Denied)

    I have been successfully running the new certificate to CQG for over a month... That is the new certificate required to connect... I have had NO issues connecting... NONE...

    So today running 8.0.26.1 which is my PREFERRED version (the reasons don't matter) I am receiving an "Order Routing" error message and unable to connect...

    I have used my credentials to successfully connect on 8.1.1.7 and 8.0.28.0 both of which I have installed on different machines... That means CQG/Continuum is up and running and that my credentials are correct and working...

    I also have a set of Demo Credentials that work on those machines... But not in this one...

    Update: Since this is 8.0.26.1 there are TWO directories that must contain the certificate file... 8.0.26.1 is the last version that NT supported 32- and 64-bit versions... So in essence I have been using the OLD 64-bit version until I went back in and rechecked all my steps... It pays to do that BEFORE you post to the forum...

    For your 8.0.26.1 system, could you walk us through how
    you installed the new CQG certificate?

      The date in the release notes is June 30 - next Friday. It's Saturday - perhaps they are doing maintenance as they often do on Saturdays.

        To start, you will need the certificate file.. If you install the newest version of NT8.1.X.X it is located in the C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 8\bin.. It is the ca.pem file...

        Save and close NT8...

        Navigate to this directory depending on your version of NT8... C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\bin for 8.0.26.1 and C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 8\bin for 8.0.27.X

        Copy the ca.pem file and paste it so you have a backup just in case....

        Replace the ca.pem file with the new one... you will also need to do the same in the C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\bin64 directory if you are 8.0.26.1

        Restart NT8 and connect to CQG (Continuum)...

          They have already implemented it... I suspect to give themselves time to be compliant by July 1...

            Well, as your post suggests, if it's just a server certificate and that's how you update it completely, then it should have worked. There must be another factor at play here e.g. Saturday maintenance or the version itself is blocked not just the certificate.

              brenthilburn See the post https://forum.ninjatrader.com/forum/...-desktop-users where they state you only have until June 23 to upgrade. That was the day before you posted it didn't work anymore. If it still isn't working, this suggests updating the server certificate in the manner described was insufificient. If it has since started working again, this suggests they were doing maintanence on a Saturday as they sometimes do.

                As I said in the original post .... 8.1.1.7 and 8.0.28.0 were connecting with my credentials.. Maintenance played no part or I wouldn't have been able to connect... at all... on any version

                8.0.26.1 was not... There was NOTHING wrong other than I neglected to be diligent and go back and check all my steps again.... When I did, I realized since I was running 8.0.26.1 then the ca.pem ALSO has to go in the \bin64 directory since there were still 2 supported versions of the 32 and 64-bit varieties... This turns out to be user-error on my part... Plain and simple...

                  brenthilburn Great! So, it's working now with the replaced ca.perm for 8.0.26.1 it sounds like? That is good news in that it keeps some options open.
