is there a limitation to how much historical data points for charts

Hi,

I have historical 1 minute data for ES 06-23 dating from March 1 to June 16 and I wanted to load the entire dataset from March 1 onwards but it will only load data from March 13 onwards.

Initially i set the "Days to Load" to 112, then I changed it to 125 but the same amount of data loaded.

Could you please assist?

Hello,

The only limitation in this situation would be the amount of data available on the servers. Since ES should have much more data, I suspect you are using a merge policy of 'do not merge' for your data. To change this, go to Tools>Options>Market data and adjust the merge policy to 'merge back adjusted'. Then go to your chart and right click it to select 'reload historical data'.

I only have data for ES 06-23 and not for any other ES contracts as far as intraday data for this contract is concerned. Would merge policy affect it?

On a chart the merge policy would affect this, for instance using 'do not merge' will mean the chart is only loading data for the ES 06-23 contract specifically, and won't use any other past contracts data.

Hi Ryan,

The merge policy was set to "use global settings". I changed it to "do not merge" to get what I needed.
