Workspace not loading - Mac/Parallels user

When i log out and save my workspace, it does not load when I log back in. I have read articles that say to restore the workspace which I have done several times, but the restored workspace also won't load. I am running Mac M1 with Parallels. Thank you if you can help.

Have you deselected the option for Parallels to sync the filesystem with the MacOS side? Maybe it is undoing the change it is saving.

OK yes I did change the settings so there is no file sharing between the Mac and PC but it's still not working. It seems like it's unable to link to the workstation saves since the restored versions also won't open
