Strategies dont stay in chart

Is there a way to keep added strategy in chart so when I reopen the workspace the strategy in the charts open with it so as not to have to reload them in the chart again every day? For some reason some do stay in the chart next time the workspace is open but seems random. Thanks.

Hello designer01,

The strategy should return when restoring the workspace. If it is not that may be due to an error, you could check the control center log tab when that happens.

My strategies still do not stay in the charts when I re open the workspace the next day or any time.. There is no error that I can find. Also templates only save indicators but the strategies are not saved in the template. So I can not save them either this way. Please advice.

This has been a problem ever since Version 8 came out. You MUST save the workspace when exiting, even though no changes were made. If you don't you risk losing the strategy. It doesn't lose them all the time, but it does lose them most times.

A good habit to get into is saving your strategy setting to a default template. Then, when (not if) Ninjatrader blows it away you can easily reload it. Another good habit to get into is saving the strategy each time you exit. It's what I do so the only way I know they still haven't fixed that is people like you reporting it.
