    Can't see my real money accounts or balances..

    Hi support and all,
    So i just forked over the 1.5k for lifetime license.
    I set up the connections to my multiple IBKR accounts, following all NT8 and youtube tutorials exacltly.. I am connected with green connection status.. BUT
    I cant get my real money accounts to show up.. or see my balances or positions..
    Whats the dealio?? am i missing something?

    PS: i can see simulation account though.. also the prices are live..

      Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums.

      Could you send us your log & trace files? I'd like to take a closer look at why you don't see your live accounts.

      You can do this by going to the Control Center -> Help -> Email Support

      Please select "Platform Technical Support" as the recipient and enter a brief "ATTN Manfred" note in the message.

          Was there any resolution to this issue? I'm having the same problem since upgrading to 8.1 last night, and have had no updates from support since sending in my log files 8 hours ago.

            vincew hi vince, support opens in couple hours and i should be receiving a call to try and resolve. I'll update you after.

              TY. FYI, support just sent me an email requesting that I shutdown and rename my database, so that NJT would rebuild a new one from scratch. I did as they requested, but it produced no change in behavior - my Control Center is still blank.

                  Just received this from support:

                  Let's see if the same issue happens in Safe Mode. Please use the following steps to open the platform in Safe Mode and create a "Test" workspace to see if the behaviors continue.
                  • If the behaviors don't continue in Safe Mode, save the "Test" workspace and then reopen NinjaTrader like normal to the Test workspace and see if the behaviors continues.
                  • If the behavior hasn't returned, reopen the Original workspace to see if this behavior comes back and is specific to your original workspace.

                  Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
                  • Loading workspaces and connecting on start-up.
                  • Loading custom assemblies (i.e. 3rd-party add-ons and NinjaScripts)
                  • Getting instrument updates from the server

                  To enable Safe Mode, please use the following steps:
                  • Shut down NinjaTrader.
                  • Hold the CTRL key and double-click the NinjaTrader icon.
                  • Keep holding the CTRL key until you see the Sign in Window then sign in (If the logo is Maroon, hold until you see the Control Center since this is an Older versions)
                  • You may then verify you are in Safe Mode by going to Help -> About.

                  Once you have opened the platform in Safe Mode:
                  • Reconnect to your Data Provider
                  • Go to the Control Center > Workspaces > Click new > Call it "Test" > Click OK
                    • Please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.
                    • Create a small Test workspace using Default NinjaTrader Indicators only and test if the behavior continues.

                  Does the behavior persist on this "Test" Workspace in Safe Mode?
                  • If the behavior is no longer happening, go to the Control Center > Workspaces > Hover over "Test" > Click save
                  • Restart NinjaTrader and open the platform like normal. Click "NO" if it asks to save again.

                  NinjaTrader should open to the "Test" workspace in Normal mode now:
                  • Connect to your Market Data and test if the behavior continues while here on the Test Workspace in Normal mode.
                  • If there are no errors, try opening your original workspace

                  Do the errors return when you re-open the Original Workspace?
                  • If yes, this confirms that the unwanted behavior is being caused by something within the original workspace specifically.
                  • You could either:
                    • Remove things from the Original Workspace 1-by-1 until the unwanted behaviors go away and you will know the last thing removed was causing it.
                    • Or, continue with the Test Workspace and build it back up 1-by-1 until the behaviors return so you know the last thing added back in is causing the unwanted behaviors
                      • Once you narrow in on what is causing the Unwanted behaviors, you could reach out to the developer for further help and information on why it is happening and what must be done to avoid it moving forward.


                  Please let us know if the unwanted behaviors continued while opening NinjaTrader in Safe Mode or to the "Test" workspace in Normal Mode.

                      dude.. thats so long.. i would have told you not to waste time. i only have control center and chart open.
                      You have lifetime plan? @vincew
                      i suspect this is the problem. The platform doesnt recognise that im licensed for multibroker account..

                        Yes, I have the lifetime account. And I agree with your gut, that the problem is somehow related to the new licensing model. However, I did follow the steps given in the upgrade notes to login to the new account management webpage, and I confirmed that my license entitlements *appear* to have transferred to the new account. I frickin' HATE upgrades. I postponed this one until now because I was certain that there would be some snags. With today being rollover and market probably treading water until the Fed announcement on Wednesday, this seemed like as good a time as any to sacrifice a trading day to the upgrade gods.

                          Never a good time to be locked out of market. I have full entitlements on web profile account also.
                          Support just confirmed to me that this seems to be the issue and it is related to logging in with social.
                          Will update with when/how its resolved.

                            FWIW, I'm not logging in with social - I'm entering new username and pwd *each time!*. Which is a whole nother pain point... but not gonna go there now.

                              IBKR doesnt save your log in details either.. i would cut them slack on that point.. I now log in with social which is okay, and then when i connect IB TWS pops up and username /pass is completed by NT8 and even clicks the damn log in button.. which is a neat neat feature if you ask me. basically Social is now loggining me into NT8 plus all my other brokers.
