The min and max indicators can use any series that you input to find the minimum or maximum of that series. That applies on the chart or in coding.

If you wanted to use a range chart you would use the min/max indicators while using a range chart wit hthe range chart as input. For volume you would need to select the VOL indicator as the input series.
