How do I change my password

How do I change my password
Since you guys kept Last Pass from seeing the login popup when I launch Ninjatrader, AND since you guys can't even write a cookie that remembers your password, I would like to change my password to something more memorable. The one Last Pass generated is this gobbledy-gook that's not easy to memorize.
So, how do I do that?Tags: None

You can reset your password in the account poral: https://account.ninjatrader.com
Click on the profile icon in the top right -> Settings -> Profile -> Change Password.
If you are having trouble resetting the password we can also submit a reset password link through the support[at]ninjatrader.com email.

I don't get what you describe. When I click that link, I get a login screen. So I log in. Then at the top right there is nothing what you describe.
I've poked around looking for such a thing as a portal that everyone else has.
What does "Migrate Account" mean? Do I need to do that?
I've never had a NT account until yesterday when I was forced to create one. What am I missing?

Also, if I reset password, am I going to be able to name my own or will I get a computer generated password that's impossible to memorize unless I change it, which I can't seem to do?

You can alternaively go to https://account.ninjatrader.com/welcome or https://ninjatrader.com/ and click log in.
If you are unable to login to your account from the account portal you will need to contact support to reset your password and confirm your login information.
You can use last pass to save your passwords but that is a browser/app based software which won't work to autofill desktop applications. If you wanted to use that to store your password you will need to copy/paste from that application to the login screen in NinjaTrader desktop.

Oh my gosh...
I CAN LOG IN JUST FINE.... I WANT TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD!!
Can you please, please, please tell me how to do that? I'm sorry I mentioned Last Pass, ok? I just want a password that I can remember, that's all - since you made it so I have to remember my password, like no one else does anywhere for any reason.
Can we please get there from here?

Your directions aren't working Jesse! I've tried it in both Brave and Edge. You claim I'm supposed to get a Settings button in the top right corner but it doesn't happen.
There has to be someone there that knows how to be able to change my password. Can we please cut to the chase and let that person respond?

1. I log in... there's no message about incorrect password or username so I assume it's successful
2. I come to this page: https://account.ninjatrader.com/trading-mode
3. I replace the URL with yours
4. I'm redirected back to https://account.ninjatrader.com/trading-mode
So I guess that would be a 'no?'

Hello traderpards,
You have to click the profile icon to display settings. There is no button in the top right corner for settings but there is profile icone which you can click that has a drop down. In that menu there is in the page you reach by clicking on the settings icon.
If you are having trouble resetting the password we can also submit a reset password link through the support[at]ninjatrader.com email. That will generate a new temporary password which you will need to change using the link included in that email.

Hmm, after login, try deleting 'trading-mode' ...
They had some weird issues like this w/FF back
in March during the initial launch.
Back then ...
Deleting the trailing page 'welcome' and pressing
return to reload seemed to 'fix' the issue and the
account portal home became visible in Firefox.
Not saying your issue is the same, but the same
'delete trick' may work in your browser.
Anyways, once in the account portal home page,
the settings you seek is behind the 'stick-man'
profile button in upper right.

David - trying what you suggested just snaps back to trading-mode. Thanks for suggesting it though. Heck, at this point I'll try anything.
Jesse - this is the page that comes up after I log in. As you can see there is no profile icon... If I'm missing it, perhaps you could circle it for me...
