Data not loading more than 90 days

    Data not loading more than 90 days

    I have signed up for Kinetick Futures trading data feed, no matter how much I change the days to load, the data never crosses 90 days of history. Is it possible to get 1 year of data on the chart?

    This is the version I am using

    8.0.27.1 64-bit

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    First, I see you are using an older version of NinjaTrader. Below is a link to our Support Center that includes instructions and a direct download link for updating to the newest required version of NinjaTrader 8.0.

    ​As for loading more than 90 days on a chart, please answer all of the following questions:
    • If you right-click your chart and select Data Series, what do you have selected for "Days to load" in the Time Frame section of the settings?
    • What instrument symbol (and expiry if applicable) have you selected? For example, ES 03-22, AAPL, EURUSD, etc.
    • (For a chart) what interval is selected? For example, 5 minute, 1 day, 2000 volume, 4 Renko, etc.
    • Do you receive an error on the screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      NQ 06-23

      Range 200
      • Do you receive an error on the screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?
      ​No errors on the screen, I even checked the logs and trace, please find trace below -

      There are lot of folders created under tick but all are empty.​

        Quick update i changed time frame to 5 mins, it is working. Maybe problem with range charts.

          Thank you for your reply.

          The typical availability for historical data from Kinetick is up to 180 days of Tick data and 2 years+ of Minute data. Range bars are built from tick data and there is a limitation for how much historical tick data may be requested during regular trading hours; if it is between 9:30am EST-4:30pm EST, you may download up to 8 days of historical tick data. If you want to take advantage of the full 180 days available, you will need to load the chart outside of those hours. It will then be downloaded to your database of historical data and saved in your cache for use at any time.

          The reason behind this is to reduce the possibility of overloading the Kinetick historical data servers and bandwidth; if many traders were requesting the full 180 days of tick data all at the same time during trading hours, this could heighten the server loads and result in increased loading times. The goal is to have 8 days of tick data readily available with quicker loading times during market hours when it is most important and limit access to additional days to times outside of regular hours.

            Now it makes sense, Thank you much, I did fresh install with latest version and it doesn;t cross 8 days. Can you please share with me the chart which shows how many days available for each data feed .

              There is no specific chart that shows how many days are available for each data feed; NinjaTrader support might have some notes for some brokers and data providers, but ultimately it is best to reach out to the providers directly for the most up-to-date and accurate information. We can answer questions about the NinjaTrader historical data servers and Kinetick data feed, though questions for other brokers or data feeds should go to the provider.
