an assembly, I want a feature that allows me to save the list of files for this
assembly configuration into a template, or a profile.
I want to be able to recall this template, or profile, so that I can quickly rebuild
the list of input files for the assembly without having to click on each individual
file again.

In fact, I'd like to see some predefined buttons in the export window where a
button is associated with a specific template, and just by clicking the button,
I have loaded a specific template (aka, predetermined list of files, plus the
assembly name), so that these convenience buttons are a 'Quick Load'
feature which let's me load a specific template.
So, this is actually two suggestions:
1. Feature to save/load templates in export window. Each template saves the
assembly name and list of files, and could be reloaded into the export window,
similar to how is done today for other templates.
2. Add a few easy access buttons, labeled simple as '1', '2', '3', which allow a
way to associate an action (save/load) with a template file. That way, I click
'1', and I can load a specific template quickly. The idea is that these become
Quick Load and/or Quick Save buttons, bypassing the 'convenient tediousness'
of the normal save/load template interfaces.

At the very last, adding templates to the export window, just like for indicator
settings, or chart settings, etc, should be fairly straightforward and easy to
conceptualize idea.
If I had templates in the export window, it would then be much simpler to AutoIt
the remaining steps needed to build/compile/export an assembly.
Just my 2˘.
