Why are some strategies in Yellow?

Why are some active strategies colored as Yellow?

As you can see from my screen shot, two strategies are green (active) and two are yellow. What does this mean? Active or not

Because they haven't been able to start yet because they're theoretically long while your account is actually short?

•Green highlighted "Strategy" name indicates a currently running strategy.

•Orange highlighted "Strategy" name indicates the strategy is waiting until it reaches a flat position to be in sync with the account position before fully starting. (Please see the Syncing Account Positions section for configuration options)

•Black highlighted "Strategy" name indicates a disabled strategy.

Hello timmbbo,

That is caused by the strategies start behavior in combination with its trading conditions. A yellow strategy means that Wait Until Flat (the default start behaviour) was used and the strategy placed a trade in historical data. That trade has not exited by the time the strategy entered realtime so now its waiting on your exit logic to exit that position.

If you don't have any exit logic the strategies may not start working in realtime, if you see that happen a few ways around that would be:

• Reduce the historical data being used so the strategy potentially does not trade in that same place leading to a historical position
• Add a condition so that the strategy only trades in realtime, this would prevent it from being backtested but ensures it won't turn yellow upon starting
• Change the start behavior being used
