Medieval control over the chart of NT

Hello,

it's really a shame that someone who is trying to call themselves a "Industry Leader" have this kind of medieval, not customizable control over the chart. There is so many addons, indicators, strategies etc., now mobile and web trading, but this software don't have basic thing, which is customizable control over the chart. By that I mean way of panning horizontally and vertically, zooming in and out of chart continuously. I am disgusted.

I'm pretty sure that I've been zooming in (and out),
and I think when I move the chart left, that's called
panning, and when I do that up or down, that is
called panning as well. I've been doing these
things, oh, since 10 years now.

The Panning Hand mouse icon ... eh, not sure when
that appears, or not -- I don't think about it like that.

Which specific charting package are you comparing
NinjaTrader to? I mean, come on, NT is not completely
void of what you're asking about ... is it?

It's really simple, user don't have available the option to custumize the control over the chart, he is forced to go with default control. That's fundamental thing.

I have a strong hunch that a User developed an Add-on to do what you want. Can’t help you further as can’t recall its name but have a look through the User app-share, or this may nudge someone else to chime in

Yeah, this indicator might be the one, it's available
for free (I think) over at Futures.io.

Thanks for your notes.

You could change the Zoom-In and Zoom-Out hotkeys in the Tools > Hot Keys window > Chart section to set a specific Hot Key combination to use for zooming in and out on a chart window.

There are no options to customize the horizontal/vertical panning of the chart in NinjaTrader 8. I have submitted your feature request to the Development team for this. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-5928.
