Every weekly backup I do the file size gets larger and larger with no end in site. What's up with that? How do I limit the file size?

Are you referring to the Documents\NinjaTrader Backup folder size?

Do you have multiple backup files in the Documents\NinjaTrader Backup folder or do you have a single backup file that you are overwriting each time you export a backup file?

The size of this folder would increase as you add more backup files to the NinjaTrader Backup folder. You could consider deleting previous backup files once you create a new one or moving the previous backup files to a different folder location on your PC.

If you are overwriting the previous backup file when creating a new backup and the new backup contains more data, the backup file size would increase if there is more data being included in the backup up file.

For example, say you create a backup file, add a new NinjaScript AddOn to your platform, and then create a new backup and overwrite the previous one. The new backup file size will be larger since the NinjaScript Addon was added to the platform and that additional data is being backed up.

You may consider unchecking Historical Chart data, Market Replay data, and Log and Trace files, in the 'Export Backup File' window as these options usually contain the largest file sizes and would not affect your ability to trade live if you need to restore the backup. All other options could need to be checked.
