    Server Side Orders with NinjaTrader Brokerage Not Working Properly

    Hello.
    I have been sim trading during today's US Futures session on ES. I have been trialling the server side order setup when you have the multi provider mode turned off. I placed a number of orders which simply were not processsed or acknowledged until 20 or 30 seconds after they were placed. I also was unable to cancel a number of orders. The system was basically unusable and much worse than yesterday's session where NinjaTrader sent a message that delays were being experienced.
    Since it was unusable I changed my setting within NT8 to re-enable the multi provider mode and shut down NT8 to restart with the new setting (orders now reside on my machine and stop loss & profit target orders are sent to NinjaTrader Brokerage once the initial order has filled)
    Unfortunately my copy of NT8 would then no longer start and I am now getting the message that my log in name or password is incorrect even though I directly copied that information from a password manager. I can however log into my brokerage account using the same user/password combination so something is clearly wrong.
    Can I please have an update on the status of server side stop loss & profit target orders and how close they might be to a commercial standard.?
    Can I also have an explanation as to why after changing back to multi provider mode my copy of NT8 will not start?
    I am running 8.1.1.5 and the issues occurred around 9.00am US Central time on the 9th May.

    Update. After 40 minutes my copy of NT8 will now load and start properly with the same user name and password that was previously rejected!

    This could be a localized issue with your internet connection.

    May I confirm you are located in the US near the Chicago servers?

    May I also confirm you are updated to the latest release 8.1.1.5?

    Please try turning off the modem and router for 30 seconds, and restart the computer.

    Server side Atm has not had reports of issues. Unfortunately, I would not be able to speak if these are industry standard, but these do work similar to how Atms work on the local platform.

    Note, server side Atms can only be enabled when Multi-provider mode is disabled.


    Regarding the login when Multi-provider mode is disabled, this will be the same username and password used to login to the Client Portal at https://account.ninjatrader.com/.

    Ensure you are updated to 8.1.1.5, then please try re-typing the username and password into the Client Portal first, to confirm these are correct, and then re-type both the username and password into the login for the Desktop platform.

      • I am using 8.1.1.5 as stated in my original message
      • I live in Australia but have tested my internet latency to twenty different capital cities around the world and it is stable and consistent. The order delays I received during today's US trading session were at least a 100 times greater than my internet latency. The fact I was simply unable to cancel a number of orders no matter what I tried suggest there is a deeper problem than a short term latency issue.
      • I fully understand that server side ATMs can only be enabled when multi-provider mode is disabled as I clearly state in my original message.
      • I fully understand that my NT8 login user name and password should be the same whether or not I have multi-provider mode enabled or not enabled.
      • I struggle to understand why my user name and password combination that has successfully allowed me to log into both my brokerage account and NT8 stops working for roughly an hour as far as NT8 is concerned and locks me out of my platform. However I could still log into my brokerage account with the same user name and password during this time! Without me doing anything the situation resolves itself and about an hour later I can restart NT8.
      • There is reasonable evidence from the above that NinjaTrader experienced some sort of trading server issue that impacted order placement and platform log in during this time. What I am hoping is that NinjaTrader can identify this and take possible steps to reduce the chance of it occurring in the future. Fortunately I was sim trading during this session and so didn't incur the actual losses from the order placement problems.
      • I would appreciate a comment on whether NinjaTrader considers that server side ATMs are close to commercial release standard or are in early beta phase only.
