instruments on strategy templates

I have a lot of strategies that are specific to type of instrument (equity futures, or oils for instance), and each bot has a template for the minis (default template) or micros (named template). I can update the instrument expiry manually, and I can get the correct instrument to show up on the default template, but I cannot get the micro instrument to come up correctly when I pull up the micro template. It seems like the instrument is being called from the default template (the minis). Is there any way around this?

Hello Ndakotan1313,

Strategies templates are instrument agnostic and just contain default property settings. You can change the instrument selection after applying the template to any instrument or data series you would like.
