    What would cause this please?
    I have a strategy that runs and works fine but every once in a while I get this.
    I don't refer to ChartTraderButtons or anything so I am at a loss as to what would cause this behaviour.

    I have the same issue with crosshair selector. I used to restart NT, but after years I found a better solution - clicking on data series button fixes this bug.

      I have the same problem, it's annoying. You can then just open a menu entry, and then it's good again. NT please solve the problem as soon as possible, thanks.

        I caught this bug today, clicking on data series button is also solves the issue with chart trader.

          Ha - thanks Leeroy_jenkins. You're right clicking Data Series Button brings back the chart trader menu - solves the issue.
          NT one bug for you to sort out with the next issue of NT!!

            Mindset Do you have any idea the steps to reproduce it and make it grey out the chart trader and/or crosshair options consistently?

                Same situation here. I have been experiencing this problem randomly for years on my multi monitor setup. It almost appears as if the particular window in question is not fully active.

                  Hello Mindset,

                  May I confirm this can be reproduced with 8.1.1.5?

                  Are there any errors appearing on the Log tab of the Control Center?

                  Are there any 3rd party indicators applied to the chart?

                      Yes it is still appearing in the latest version. I do notice it only seems to happen when I have a strategy employed.
                      Click Data Series icon and close and it sorts itself out so not the biggest of problems!

                            Hello Mindset,

                            Do you have specific steps on how to reproduce that? We have been unable to see this problem on our end, we would need to know what steps you are following to see that to be of assistance here.

                            If you have third party addons imported its possible one of those is causing that, you can test from a clean install to see if you can replicate that.

                            Use the following steps to do a clean user folder test.
                            1. Exit NinjaTrader
                            2. Open the Documents folder
                            3. Rename the NinjaTrader 8 folder to NinjaTrader 8 Old
                            4. Download the installer from https://account.ninjatrader.com/download
                            5. Install the platform, this will create a new user folder.
                            6. Open the platform and test

                            To revert back to your previous data use the following steps.
                            1. Exit NinjaTrader
                            2. Open the Documents folder
                            3. Rename the NinjaTrader 8 folder to NinjaTrader 8 Clean
                            4. Rename the NinjaTrader 8 Old folder to NinjaTrader 8

                            NinjaTrader looks for the folder named NinjaTrader 8 for your user data.

                              Hi Jesse
                              No i first reported on this in 2021 - its random and I have never found the 'reason' it occurs. I have reinstalled, replace the documents folder, etc and it's usually ok for a while - the only common denominator I have found is that it seems to occur when I have a strategy on. But as I say - it's random and sometimes doesn't happen at all.
