    account.ninjatrader.com login information is not working on the desktop platform

    Hello.

    I have a Ninjatrader lifetime license and just signed up for Apex eval accounts.

    I tried to add the Apex eval accounts but was unsuccessful.

    Now, when I try to log back in on Ninjatrader 8 desktop platform it tells me that my username or password is incorrect. I tried resetting the password and while I can login to account.ninjatrader.com, when I try the same login information on the desktop platform it keeps telling me incorrect username or password.'

    Any error messages?

    This is way too vague to really help you.

    Did you buy NinjaTrader evals or Tradeovate evals?
    (Tradeovate evals will not work with NinjaTrader desktop.)

    Which version of NinjaTrader are you using?

    The username/password required to login to the newer 8.1.1.x release has nothing
    to do with username/password account credentials used to configure a Connection.

    These two kinds of credentials are completely separate.

    Since you have a lifetime license key ...
    Have you tried reverting back to 8.0.27.1?

    ​What are the available Connections when you configure a new Connection?​
    Do you see 'Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage'.

    I think you have two separate problems.

    Apex should have sent you an email with your Rithmic username/password
    credentials that are needed to configure a 'Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage'
    connection via the Connection menu.

    Is that connection type available to you?
    If not, you might need to use the Apex provided NinjaTrader license key.

    Remember, after you signup for your first eval account, Apex sends you an
    email containing your Rithmic credentials, did you get that email?

    The Rithmic credentials have nothing to do with the new NinjaTrader account
    sign-on screen when NT first starts. To eliminate the sign-on screen, and the
    mandatory password entry requirement that comes with it, I recommend you
    revert back to the prior release 8.0.27.1.

    Also, if you're brand new to Apex, don't forget about downloading and logging
    into R/TraderPro and 'accept' the two documents. These steps should have
    been mailed to you -- have you followed all the Apex setup steps exactly?

    I kinda doubt it, because if you've done every thing in those emails correctly,
    you probably wouldn't be having problems. Your vague opening statement
    about how your Apex setup attempt was 'unsuccessful' -- well, it's kinda
    hard to give you any real advice on what to do, other than this: carefully
    re-read every apex email and carefully study all their links and then
    carefully perform all their steps -- do exactly what they tell you to do,
    and you should be fine.

    If you're still having trouble, Apex has their own help desk support folks
    who would be glad to help you.

      After playing with it some more I was able to add the Apex eval accounts and Rithmic connection however I had to roll back to version 8.02.

      When I redownload 8.1 and try to open it, it will not let me even get into my account on the platform.

      The login screen that pops up when I click to start my platform shows a username and password field. In these fields I am entering the same login information that I am using to access account.ninjatrader.com, the client portal.

      It gives me the error that my username or password is incorrect, then it times me out.

      I have tried resetting my password and again, it works on the website client portal, but it will not work on the login screen to get into NT 8 platform.

              Please write in to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with a brief description of the behavior you are encountering as well as a copy of your Log and Trace files and a technician will be happy to assist you as soon as they are available.

              Follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.
              • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
              • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
              • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
              • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
