Installation problem - I am new with NinjaTrader

What is a repair installation? Details would be useful. Are you talking about a whole new install? I'd rather not because then I have issues again with getting my datafeed up and running. I just went through that earlier today. Can't I just get sent a clean TradingHours folder?

A repair installation is when you download the NinjaTrader setup again from ninjatrader.com, and run it over the top of your existing installation. When you do so, it will give you the option to repair the existing installation. It will put your trading hours folder back, along with anything else that is missing. Normally, it would not mean you would lose your configuration such as data feed connections that you have added (unless the file is corrupted).
If you are unsure you want to do this, best to wait for NinjaTrader support to advise you on whether this is the right next step.

Sorry but support is hopeless. Takes WAY too long to get back to me while I can't access the platform. I have to wait a day or more usually. The only reason I am still with NT is because it is the platform used by my course providers. I'd be gone otherwise.
Even after a fresh install, the tradinghours error messages (hundreds of them) keep coming every time I start up NT8.

QuantKey_Bruce is correct. If you deleted the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates folder this will cause errors to occur since this folder is required to run NinjaTrader 8. Run a repair on your platform using the NinjaTrader installer by following the steps below.
Please follow the steps below to run a repair using the NinjaTrader installer.- Close NinjaTrader if you have it opened.
- Download the NinjaTrader installer from this link
- account.ninjatrader.com
- Once the installer is downloaded, run the NinjaTrader installer.
- Click the Next button
- Click the Repair button to run a repair.
- After the repair is complete, exit the Installer
- Restart NinjaTrader 8
If you are still seeing the error occur, follow the steps below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader to make sure that no files from the old installation's back end may be causing conflicts.- Close all running applications.
- Navigate to your Documents folder > Right-click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'.
- Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
- Navigate to C:\ > Program Files > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
- Reboot your PC.
- Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.
- account.ninjatrader.com
- Open NinjaTrader 8 and test to see if the errors persist.
