Which data to purchase?

Hi, after a while of paper trading I'm just about to fund my account.
In the beginning, I will trade only ES. I need tick data for volume profile analysis and order flow footprints. I assume I need a subscription for CME. Do I need Level II Data or is Level I sufficient?

Hello, thanks for writing in. You only need the level 1 CME package, the level 2 data would be needed if you want to use the SuperDOM, the OrderFlow market depth map, or the Level2 window.

Follow Up.
I have now purchased a data plan, which I assume is from continuum. I have received a message from cqg yesterday to update my login credentials for routing through cqg. Those credentials don't work with continuum. So please advise me on

- which is the data provider I have the plan with and
- which set of credentials I should use

Hi Kuma, You must use the "NinjaTrader" connection. You should see this connection type after going into Tools>Options>enable "Multi Provider". You will use the same credentials that you used to log into your client portal account.

Hi Chris. Thanx for reaching out. Actually I already contacted your support. Baseline: This approach is not correct. I use Continuum with my CQG credentials. That works. There is a bit of confusion around NT versions 8.0 vs. 8.1 and demo vs. paid data plan.
Anyhow. Now it works.
