Starlink.....anyone have feedback for day traders?

Hello, this may not be an appropriate post in this forum....if so, just delete it...

Is anyone using Starlink as a primary data connection for day trading?

    for fast Scalping?

    Can you give feedback?

There are some good articles online about this. Day trading's needs are similar to the needs for gaming, so you might take a look at https://www.pcmag.com/news/is-starli...ce-to-the-test and also https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...ps-in-q2-2022/ and also https://www.starlinkhardware.com/med...nd-ping-times/.

      Hello llanqui,

      Thank you for your post.

Forum users are certainly allowed to give feedback about their setup, including things like PC specs and their experiences with different service providers. This thread will remain open for anyone who would like to chime in with their feedback and experience regarding the use of Starlink.

Feel free to reach out with any specific questions or concerns we may assist you with.

I live in Southern Ecuador, near the border with Peru...surprisingly I have good enough WIFI providers, two of them. BUT they don't have UPS backups on their antennas. The power grid is surprisingly stable with few outages that normally don't last long.

I have a 3G phone with data service that the antenna does have a backup, and has a ping that is too high for regular scalping, but will be good enough to manage an existing position.

But, it would be great to have a Starlink....but I have a friend who lives in the Amazon area of Ecuador and he said his has blips in the download....he also said that the antennas are no geostationary that the antenna needs to always maximize the connection to a number of satellites that may be in range..

Any ideas of other forums to post these questions ?
