Multi Broker paid through NTB Accoount

I signed up for the multi broker add on. It asked me what credit card to use for payment. However the check box for multi broker in Tools > Options was not there.
When I went back to the add on and looked under the multi broker add on it is labeled "Disabled". When I looked at the billing history it says the "Payment Type" is "Live Account Deduction". My live account is not funded and at this time I do not intend to fund it. I just want to be able to trade multiple prop firm accounts.
Can I just pay for the multi broker add on with a credit card?

Welcome to the forums!

Beg pardon, but let's back up a minute.

Last I knew, the multi-broker add on was not so much about
trading multiple brokerage accounts, but being able to trade
using multiple broker technology adapters.

I would suspect that all the prop firms you're interested in all use
Rithmic. Well, Rithmic is a broker technology firm, and NT will
use the Rithmic broker technology adapter to talk to whatever
Rithmic-based prop firm account(s) you configure.

The Rithmic adapter is automatically used when the Connection
type 'Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage' is selected.

But each technology adapter has a catch, which is a fundamental
part of their design.

That is, an adapter can only support one connection at a time.

This means, in your case, the Rithmic adapter will only allow you
to connect to one Rithmic-based prop firm at a time.

Now, let's be clear,
If you're subscribing to multiple evaluation/combine accounts, all
at the same prop firm, all under a single username, that's not
a problem. How come? Because inside NinjaTrader, that's all
happening under a single Rithmic connection, using a single set
of Rithmic credentials provided by the prop firm. [You'll use the
Rithmic username/password credentials when you setup your
prop-firm account Connection using the 'Rithmic for NinjaTrader
Brokerage' connection type.]

In other words, if your trading multiple Apex eval/PA accounts and
nothing else, or multiple Leeloo eval/PA accounts and nothing else,
etc -- you're good, and probably don't need the M/B add on.

If you're wanting to trade Apex and Leeloo/Bulenox/Topstep/etc
at the same time, whether it's one eval acct or many, the M/B
add on won't help you. This requires two different Rithmic
connections, but even with the M/B add on, the Rithmic
adapter can only make one connection at a time.

My point is:
The Rithmic adapter only allows one connection at a time,
and, last I knew, the M/B add on doesn't change that.

[So, do you really need the M/B add on? You'd need to be
very specific about which brokerages/prop firms you're
wanting to trade in order for anyone to really answer that,]

I agree it is not clear if he needs MB entitlement from what is stated so far about the situation - he should contact NinjaTrader by email and discuss his specific needs with them so they can advise whether this would help or whether what he wants to do is even possible.

If you are not seeing the checkbox for Control Center -> Tools -> Options -> General -> Multi-provider, please update NinjaTrader to the latest release 8.1.1.3.

Note, if are using an evaluation service like Apex, the Multi-broker addon for the account may be provided by the service with a license key that can be imported into the Client Portal.

I also recommend that you contact support [at] ninjatrader.com so we may advise which enablements are necessary for the brokerage accounts you would like to trade.

Very helpful. I have accounts at Elite Funded Trader and Apex. I would like the capability to also add others such as Leeloo. I am using Apex trade copier to trade one account and have it copy to additional accounts. Apex Trade Copier is not specific to Apex Funding. It will copy from one active account to as many other accounts as you have a connection to. Currently I am copying from one Apex account to multiple other Apex accounts. It works flawlessly.

I understand now that if two prop firms both use Rithmic the MB will not help me.
However, if I found a prop firm that allowed data other then Rythmic (use Kinetic for example), So:

Could connect to Rythmic for one prop firm and Kinetic for another prop firm WITHOUT MB?
If no then could I connect to Rythmic for one prop firm and Kinetic for another prop firm WITH MB?

Bottom line, right now I don't need MB because I am connected to both prop firms via Rythmic.

I think that I saw something from Apex about another data feed being available as an option but I did not view the entire article so I am not certain.

I will investigate that further.

Connecting two Rithmic accounts is not officially supported. That said, users have chosen to connect Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage at the same time as a Rithmic connection type even without support for this.

The Apex evaluation service accounts provide a license key that can be imported into the NinjaTrader user account that enables live trading for the Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection.

Enabling live trading on a Rithmic connection type would require the Multi-broker addon, no matter what you are connecting to for data (such as Kinetick, which is not involved with live trading a brokerage account).

The answer is No and No.

I recommend you stop what you're doing.
You may be wasting money -- you do not need Kinetick.
In fact, Kinetick will not help you.

Why? Because an adapter consists of two parts: a data feed
and an order feed -- the data feed is fungible and can be
swapped out with Kinetick, or IQFeed. But the order feed
portion cannot be bypassed, since it is the order feed part
that allows NinjaTrader to talk to the brokerage account.

Kinetick is a data feed only company. It is not free.
It has nothing to do with connecting to a brokerage account,
it does not have an order feed.

To say "connect to Rithmic with one prop firm and Kinetick
with another prop firm" shows a deep lack of understanding.

Email support. Chelsea is being serious. You are not fully
educated enough to understand the entire scenario just yet.

But, do hang in there!

Few people master the intricacies of what the M/B license, er,
M/B add on, really does, or how it works technically under the
hood. I suspect with the newer 8.1, more people will bump up
against this need-to-know sooner, due to the M/B add on being
much closer to the surface of basic user needs than the M/B
license was in prior releases.
