Place Lines at 45 Degree Increments DrawingTool Feature #15263

Hello,
I updated to v .27.1 - (flawless exercise I am pleased to be able to report)
I had been testing it on a backup pc for a while.
Delighted to see 'Line Lock' feature
However - whilst it 'locks' the Line as described, when I click the second anchor point, it is placed wherever the mouse is currently placed, which kind of defeats the purpose!
Is this user-error? All I am doing is F2, hold down Shift and continue to hold until clicking the second anchor point. The Line 'snaps' in 45 degree increments as I move the mouse to place the second anchor, but then when I do so it draws the Line to the anchor point/mouse location.
I've tried this on both PCs/installations of NT and same behaviour
Release notes show mouse pointer not at anchor point, which if supposed to represent location of mouse when second anchor clicked, as shown would be 'expected behaviour'.

I am always wondering what is the practical point of plotting a 45 degrees line on a (flexible by nature) price chart.

Since you can stretch the horizontal axis (time) and the vertical axis (price) as you want, what exactly is a fix 45 degrees line supposed to represent ?
Having a fix geometry element on a changing/flexible geometry background looks like quite pointless to me.

If you were trying to measure the trend this way, then that's clearly an illusion based on the specific chart settings regarding the specific time & price scales.

My original Feature Request (about 7 years ago iirc) was for Horizontal & Vertical snap iirc. I’d be delirious and astounded in equal measure if those had ‘just worked’ rather than wasting my time not, & reporting.
