cannot open project with visual studio 2022

i upgraded to the latest ninjatrader version and now i cannot open my ninjatrader project with visual studio 2022. i did not have this problem before. it just keeps spinning.

This does not seem like a problem specific to NinjaTrader - have you tried going into bin -> Custom and deleting the .vs directory?

So that I may accurately assist, are you opening Visual Studio by clicking the 'Visual Studio' button on the NinjaScript Editor window?

Restart your PC, open NinjaTrader Desktop, open a New > NinjaScript Editor window, right-click in the Editor window and select 'Debug mode' to enable it, and click the 'Visual Studio' button in the NinjaScript Editor window. Does the behavior persist?
