Place orders on your IB brokerage account using tradestation and Ninja Trader
I think I can use tradestation and ninja trader to send orders to IB brokerage account, but is it compatible with the latest tradestation version?
Also, is there a trial period for the above?Tags: None

Hello ラリー,
Thank you for your post.
As noted in the help guide regarding the Tradestation Email Integration, "The TradeStation Email Interface is targeted toward individuals who are familiar with programming in EasyLanguage and want to run TradeStation strategies and automate order flow to any supported NinjaTrader broker."
For the setup and the version needed, our steps are for setting up with TradeStation Version 9.XX specifically. I am not sure what the latest version of TradeStation is, though you will likely need to use version 9.XX. Here is the set up page:
I am not sure of a trial period; that would be something you need to check with TradeStation about.
Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

Hello ラリー,
Thank you for your reply.
You are correct - connecting to a live Interactive Brokers account requires enabling multi-provider mode and the multiple broker add-on. If you already have a license key that allows for this, you may migrate the license key as demonstrated in the following steps:
For more information about multi-provider mode and the multi-broker add-on:
There is no trial period offered.
Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

Thank you for your reply.
I was able to understand how to place an order on IB Securities.
Regarding the tradestation email integration in post 2, I followed the link and made the settings, but the NinjaTrader log seems to send tradestation orders, but they are not reflected in the orders.
How can I make it reflect?

Looks like a misspelling. Is that your problem?Originally posted by ă©ăŞăĽ View PostThank you for your reply.
NinjaTrader's workspace name is Market Analyzer2.
Also, tradestation workspace name is in the previous attached image
NinjaTrader; Accoun = Sim101.
Due to a bug in the forum software, I can't see your screenshots,
so I can't tell how serious that is ...
[EDIT: I found a way to see your screenshot.
The typo does not appear in your image.]

Hello ラリー,
Based on your screenshot, NinjaTrader is receiving messages from TradeStation so the configuration appears to be correct. The messages show that orders are being queued and canceled. I am not seeing any orders filled or market orders submitted in NinjaTrader. Based on the info in your screenshot, it suggests that you have the "Submit" option set to "Market orders on TS fill" which means that NinjaTrader will submit market orders when NinjaTrader receives a strategy order filled email notification from TradeStation. That is why you are getting the message "Order handling option is set to only submit market order on TS order fill notification - email ignored"
For more details on the available options:
Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for your reply.
If the order is executed, will it be reflected on the Ninja Trader side?
In the above case, can it be reflected on the Ninja Trader side even if it is only an order?
Also, if you select Submit, there are 3 options, but will it be reflected if you select Submit as is or Submit and forget?

Hello ラリー,
Thanks for your reply.
I am not sure what you mean by "reflected" on the NinjaTrader side. The order signals are already being reflected on the Log tab of the Control Center. From what I could tell, none of the orders had actually been filled yet. With "Market order on TS fill" you should see a market order reflected in NinjaTrader once the email interface sends a "Strategy filled order" notification from TradeStation. "Submit as is" results in NinjaTrader creating orders in the platform for the specified type when it gets a "strategy active order" email signal from TradeStation and it also converts any unfilled quantity to a market order or marketable limit order when TradeStation sends a "strategy filled order" email signal. "Submit and forget" will create orders in the platform from the "strategy active order" signal though it will not take any additional action from "strategy filled order" signals.
Thank you for your time and patience.

Hello ラリー,
That is correct.
As mentioned in the help guide, the TradeStation email interface works as follows:- You apply a strategy in your TradeStation chart that generates buy/sell orders
- TradeStation will send email notification for Strategy Orders Activated, Filled, Canceled and Replaced to NinjaTrader
- NinjaTrader will process these emails and execute them as orders either to the NinjaTrader simulator or your live brokerage account
Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

Orders sent to TS via API (I use traderspost to send alerts from TradingView to TS API via webhooks) can not to be sent to NT either?
