Unhandled Exception Error when doing Futures Rollover

When I click the "Rollover" button to do the automatic futures rollover, the program crashes. It usually closes too quickly, but I see an error box that says something like "Unhandled Exception trying to write to a read-only database".

Any ideas?

If you are not, please update first, and confirm the error can be reproduced.

Then, please Try running the database repair.
Tools -> Database Management -> DB Repair -> Repair.

It hadn't been, but I updated it and got the same error.

When I try Repair database, I get error:

"Failed to repair DB: Access to the path: 'C\Users\steve\documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\NinjaTrader.Old.sqlite' is denied.

There could be an issue with permissions on the Windows filesystem.

You might try giving EVERYONE (all caps) 'Full control' permissions to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\ folder.

It could also be an issue with the User Access Control (UAC). You could try setting this to never notify me.

I ended up doing a clean install of NT instead. Seems to work ok now. Thanks

The identified file is "Old". That seems odd. NinjaTrader_ChelseaB, is that expected or "unexpected"? And why?

This is caused by running the db repair or db reset. NinjaTrader attempts to rename the existing db to old, and creates a new db.
