    Fail to login: the IB you are trying to connect to...

    Hi,

    I am using NT 8.0.27.1. I am able to login perfectly to my Rithmic account on my PC. However, when I try to connect from a VM, it get the error message: The IB you are trying to connect to is not authorized to use NinjaTrader with Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage
    Can you pls tell me why?

    Please write in to support[AT]ninjatrader[dot]com with a brief description of what you are reporting and a copy of your log and trace files. Our Support team will be happy to investigate this matter as soon as they are available to review your files.

    The steps below could be used to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so we may investigate this matter further.
    • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to "Documents" > Open the "NinjaTrader 7/8" folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
    We look forward to further assisting.​

          Night trader,

          Open a webbrowser on that VM. Login into your account of Ninjatrader, it will ask you to verify your new location with your 2fa. After that you can login with your NinjaTrader-desktop-platofrm on the broker account.


          I had the same problem.. Think it will work for you too..

            How do you solve this problem, I am doing a rithmic trial but the IB problem persist when doing a NT8 connection. My rithmic pro trader trial is working fine.

              While the message suggests a brokerage account setting, I'm interested to know if the 2FA is playing a role as Wessel has suggested.

              May I confirm you are able to login to the account portal?
