    Trade Performance Report is blank in desktop app but works in Web

    New Ninja Trader user here. I am using the desktop app and started this week but my trades are not appearing in the trade performance report on the desktop app. I enter the date and hit generate but no trades appear. But if I use the web version of the report the trades are there. Does anybody have any suggestions?

    I have the same problem. The web also does not give a breakdown of the trade to tell which trades are profitable or not. Pretty annoying.

      Thank you for reaching out.

      We are currently aware of this behavior and it is being investigated by our development team under tracking number 1441. Once a fix has been implemented in a future version of NinjaTrader desktop, it will be logged in the release notes with that tracking number. The release notes may be found here:As for NinjaTrader web, you should be able to see the realized P/L from positions from within the Reports module by following these steps:
      • Click the + in the top-left corner of the web platform
      • Drag and drop the "Reports" module into your workspace
      • The default display is "Report: Orders"
        • click the down arrow in this tab to change the display to "Position history"
      • Select the date range/filters then click Go to generate the report

        I can't see why it should take this long to correct. It was working prior to v8.1.

          I am on the ninja trader 8 desktop version and my trade performance is completly blank, can you please advise how to turn it on so I can see my trades, P/L etc. Thank you

            Thank you for your note and welcome to the NinjaTrader forum community!

            So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:
            • What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.?.?.?)
            • Did you place simulated or live trades? If live, are you connected to your live account while checking the Trade Performance report?
            • What instrument symbol (and expiry if applicable) have you placed trades on? For example, ES 03-22, AAPL, EURUSD, etc.
            • What date did you place trades, and is that date included in the range for the Trade Performance report?
            • Do you receive an error on the screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

              Hello,
              Ninja trader version: 8.1.1.6 64-bit
              Live Trades, yes checking on Live account.
              All trades made on the MNQ.
              Placed trades for many years.
              No errors. Just all zeros on the Trade Performance Summary Page, including all the other items on the drop-down box are blank.

              While I have you, I also tried to open a second account and I was denied. I went through the motions on the web version of Ninja Trader and applied for a sub account and I was denied. Is there a reason why? At the time I had $1800 in my account and it asked me what I would like to transfer, I said $1000 to the new account and it was denied. Is there something I just don't know?
              Please advise, OR is there a list of things I need to get or provide to Ninja Trader to open a second LIVE account?

                Hello John,

                Thanks for that information.

                I see you are using an older version of NinjaTrader, and the latest updates should fix the behavior you are seeing with Trade Performance. To update to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop please follow the steps below.
                • Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
                • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
                • Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
                • Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
                  • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer
                ​As for your question about a request for a second account, I do not have any information as to why it was denied. I do know that when filling out the request for a new account, it is important to include as many details as possible in the "Reason" field of the request. You may direct any questions to newaccounts[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com. The help site article here covers how to request to add a subaccount:

                    Can I have two accounts and use software or code to make trades simultaneously in both accounts? Meaning: I have two accounts, and I use one chart to make trades in both accounts. Instead of having two open windows for two of the same chart. Can I make one trade on one chart and it trades in two accounts? So basically doubling my profit or loss in multiple accounts simultaneously with the same ticker? For instance two MES.

In the future, please refrain from asking new, unrelated questions in the same thread and instead start a new thread or send in a support email. You can even utilize the chat at the following link, and if it is unable to properly address your questions it will generate a support email on your behalf:


                      Based on your description, it sounds like you are looking for some sort of trade copier. NinjaTrader does not come with this functionality by default, though you may be able to find a third-party add-on that is capable of this functionality. You would have to do a general internet search (like on Google) the terms "NinjaTrader trade copier" or something similar.

                        Hello,

                        I have the same problem using APEX - Tradovate accounts.

                        My NT 8 version is 8.1.2.0

                        Trades made on the NQ. No information appears on Trade Performance feature, with or without connection stablished.

                        No error messages, just no information, all blank fields most of the time. Sometimes, ocasionally, it seems it is working, but the information is rubbish and has no sense.

                        What may be happening?

                          Thank you for your post.

                          Please follow the steps below to manually send your log and trace files so I may investigate this matter further.
                          • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
                          • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                          • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to an email to support [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com
                            • Please include 'ATTN Spencer' in the Subject line and a link to this forum post in the body of the email
                          • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

                            I reported a very similar problem to Support recently, and it has been sent to Development for review and action.

                            Symptoms:
                            • 8.1.2.0
                            • AddOn
                            • Multiple Orders submitted, 70 Filled (35 entry, 35 exit)
                            • Trade Performance contained:
                              • Orders as submitted
                              • Some Executions but definitely not all (7 entry Orders from 70 total)
                              • Zero Trades
                              • Zero Summary
                              • Zero Analysis
                            In the same series of Orders, I also experienced problems with OnExecutionUpdate and OnPositionUpdate events not firing for any Orders other than the 7 entry Order Executions noted above. OnOrderUpdate fired for all 70 Orders. This latter events problem is still under investigation.
