Excessive time to load playback data

Hello I would like to ask about a more efficient way to load playback data and pull up the appropriate chart for playback? I am following the steps listed below. The whole process to accomplish this task took- 14 Minutes (11:52:07 AM - 12:06:06 PM).

Please let me know if there is a faster way to go directly to the date and time of the data for which I would like to playback vs the steps I currently followed below.


Step 1: User left click on "Connections (menu item)" in "Control Center - Accounts"

Thanks for your post.

To use the Playback window you could follow the steps below. Note that the number of steps taken depends on exactly what you are wanting to do.

• Left-click on 'Connections' in the Control Center
• Select 'Playback'.
• In the Historical Data window that appears, download historical data or Market Replay data if needed. Then, click 'Continue'.
• The Playback window will appear. Select the 'Market Replay' or 'Historical' option in the Playback window depending on the data you are testing with.
• Set your Start Date, End Date, and Playback speed (1x, 10x, 100x, etc) in the Playback window.
• Open a Chart window for the instrument you are testing by going to New > Chart in the Control Center.
• If you want to go to a specific time/date, right-click in the Playback window and select 'Go to'.
• Set your Date and Time in the 'Go to' window and click OK.
• Click the play button in the Playback window to play the data.

There are no quicker options available for using the Playback connection.

I have followed your steps in order to load data and back test. The process still takes a long time to load. This process took from 4:37 PM -to 5:11 PM--34 minutes in total in order to just begin the back testing session.

I had to take the 23 steps below which lasted for 34 minutes in total to load the chart and its data.

Is there any way to shorten this? If I could select the date, time, chart and data all in one step, that would be much preferable.

Unfortunately, no there would not be a quicker way to accomplish this.

You would need to follow the steps listed in post # 2 when using the Playback connection.
