    You can shut down the platform and delete the folder Documents -> NinjaTrader 8 -> db -> cache then restart.

    What you're losing is the pre-built bars of each type - so for instance, if NinjaTrader combines 1-tick bars to make a Renko bar, it saves that, so it doesn't have to reload all the tick data every time you open a Renko chart - deleting the cache folder forces it to rebuild the bars. This sometimes helps, because sometimes what is saved in the cache is wrong so when it rebuilds them it has a fresh chance to get it right.

      I don't believe there are folders in the web trader at web.ninjatrader.com.

      Are you referring to the browser cache?

      What is the issue you are experiencing?

        Sometimes there will be slowness or order submission issues and lag closing. But when I proactively clear these folders, I have fewer issues.
        So while this is not a direct correlation to solving a problem, it's more of a proactive measure I want to take, but also want to make sure it doesn't cause other problems.

          Hello MatthewLesko,

          I see this is no longer a question for the webtrader at web.ninjatrader.com and this is now a desktop inquiry.

          Clearing the cache and historical data does not affect performance. Running scripts affect performance.
