Ninjatrader just CRASHES after login . Help!

    I still can't get the Apex Tradovate account to show up when using a new NinjaTrader username. Here's what I did:

    1. Create new account on www.ninjatrader.com
    2. Import Apex Tradovate license key: @ESP-TRAD-OVAT-EEVA-LUAT-ION9-FC37-6BEA
    3. Log in NT Desktop with new account from step 1
    4. Create NinjaTrader connection using Apex Tradovate login, username starting with APEX_
    5. The Apex Tradovate account connects with green circle, but it doesn't display the account, only Sim101.

    For step 4, I've tried creating the connection with both the Live and Simulation dropdown options, but same result.

    What am I doing wrong?

      It's easy instead of your apex login credentials you need to create a user with ninjatrader and then upload your licence there. And create a connection for ninjatrader (tradovate) and rithmic ninjatrader for rithmic accounts. Enjoy backtester831 !

        Just delete your connection and create another one it should do the trick for tradovate.

          I'm sorry I don't get it, that's exactly what I'm doing and outlined in the steps too. I've also tried deleting the tradovate connection and creating it again multiple times.

            I'm making a video, backtester831, to help people. Bc the issue that happens is that you can upload your licence in 2 places. And apparently if you don't do using the correct order it won't work. This is why I had to create another username. And start from scratch. So my steps were:
            1. Create a new username with ninjatrader;
            2. Go to tradovate and sign the contracts for the propfirm
            3. Go to the ninjatrader website and make sure you login and ONLY THEN you upload your licence from your profile clicking on that doll thing and importing your licence.
            4. Only after you did that you download ninjatrader 8.1.3
            5. You log in with ninjatrader and it will work (and if it's not even logging in you should create another virtual instance and start from the scratch bc this is what I did)
            6. You now create one connection for tradovate using the connection "ninjatrader"and another one for rithmic using "rithmic brokerage conection"
            7. Make sure you connect them both
            8. Tadaaaaa lol.

              Hello, not sure if this is similar issue or just my issue. Today, NT8 platform out of the blue just shut down completely two times. It has happened in the past intermittently however, twice today. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

                So we may thoroughly investigate why the platform shut down, please send an email to our support team including your log and trace files. You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support. Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

                If you are not able to open the platform (or it keeps crashing after you open it), please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com (please do not post these files publicly on the support forum, as they may contain sensitive information):
                • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
                • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to your email.
                • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
